Gambia selects players for Under 20 qualifiers

Gambia Under 20 coach Mustapha Manneh has announced his final 31-man squad set to face Liberia in the first round qualifiers of the 2015 African U-20 Championship next month.

Tapha Manneh, who was appointed as coach of the U-20, revealed that he finalized his squad last Friday for this month’s qualifiers which will take place in Liberia in the weekend of 4, 5 and 6 April 2014, as his team continues preparations.

The Gambia Football Federation, which named a 36-man provisional list squad for the coach last month, has seen that list trimmed down to 31, six of which will comprise of foreign-based players.

The foreign players invited include Casa Sport duo Saloum Faal and Bakary Daffeh, Valletta FC’s Hamza Barry, Spain-based Sulayman Marreh, Ali Sowe of Juve Stabia and goalkeeper Bubacarr Sanyang of Nimba United in Liberia.

Head Coach Tapha Manneh and his technical staff are tasked to qualify the Gambia to the 2015 Africa Youth Championship to be hosted in Senegal with the country facing the Liberian U-20 team in the first round qualifiers.

    Is it possible that he is playing under Alias Name Bakery Jatta in Hamburg/Germany?
