Kuopion Palloseura re-sign Ebrima Sohna

Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) have re-signed Gambia international Ebrima Sohna until the end of the 2014 Veikkausliiga season, this blog can reveal.

The deal for the 25-year-old midfielder, who played for relegated Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Vostok last season, is subject to a medical, Kuopion Palloseura said on their website.

Östersunds FK have signed Gambian striker Modou Barrow on a three-year contract from Swedish Superettan rivals Varbergs BoIS, this blog can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old forward left Varbergs with two years left on his contract to sign a lucrative three-year deal with Superettan rivals Östersunds after an impressive 2013 league season.

Kuopion Palloseura decide not to offer contract to Mal Ceesay

Finnish Veikkausliiga club Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) have opted against offering a contract to Gambia midfielder Yankuba ‘Mal’ Ceesay, who is a free agent.

The former Wallidan and Alianza Atlético midfielder finds himself without a club after leaving Estonian Meistriliiga side JK Nõmme Kalju at the end of his two-year contract, which came to an end last season.

Steve Biko withdraw from CAF Champions League

Gambia’s First Division champions Steve Biko have withdrawn from the 2014 CAF Champions League after deciding they don’t have the finances to mount a serious campaign.

Biko were given a baptism of fire after they were handed a trip to Algeria in what was supposed to be their first Champions League appearance.
