No Jaro contract for Dawda Bah’s brother, Kebba

Gambian midfielder Kebba Jallow
Gambian midfielder Kebba Jallow will not be offered a contract by Finnish Veikkausliiga club FF Jaro, this blog can confirm.

Kebba, brother to Gambia international Dawda Bah, was invited to join the Finnish club from local side Hawks, in search of a professional contract but the club has confirmed that he has been let go along with another trialist Adnan Ajrovic.

FF Jaro head coach Alexei Eremenko decided to let go of the 22-year-old barely eight days into his two-week trial period, apparently unconvinced by the performances of the midfielder.

Alexei Eremenko told FF Jaro’s official website: “We have decided not to proceed with Ajrovic and Jallow. I wanted to see them play harder opponents before my decision. I saw what I wanted, so the search continues.”

“We do not want to take hasty actions with respect to new players. Few of the position are opened to be filled by hard-men in the game. We will test more players because we need just the right players in the right positions,” Eremenko added.

Kebba, recommended to Jaro by his elder brother Dawda Bah, is a versatile footballer who can play as a defensive and attacking midfielder.

He is expected to join another team on trial, with clubs in Scandinavia not expected to kick-start their season until March/April.
