Seejou King had been on a season-long loan last season withthe 18-time Portuguese champions and has been a big hit, scoring three times in

Nordsjælland Sports director Jan Laursen stated, “It is
gratifying that one of our own players have done so well abroad, that a major
European club wants to assign him permanently.”
Laursen continued: “It’s a good sign that our talent work is
at a level which is noted around Europe and so has our European matches against
Sporting just enough also been a key factor in the knowledge of our club,
players and style of play.”
“We are impressed that Seejou has solved the challenge so
well in his new surroundings, and when Seejou had a great desire to pursue the chance
to advance from Sporting’s B team for their A-team, we have also sought a
solution which gave him the opportunity to live abroad dream.”
“We want to wish Seejou good luck in the future and look
forward to following his progress,” Jan Laursen concluded.
It is believed that King will act as a possible long-term
replacement for former Liverpool left back Emiliano Insúa, who has left the
club to join Spanish La Liga side Atlético Madrid.
