Norwich City trials Gambian youngster Kemo Darboe

Norwich City trialist Kemo Darboe
English Premier League side Norwich City have handed Gambian teenage striker Kemo Darboe a trial with a view to a possible deal, this blog can exclusively reveal.

The Canaries manager, Chris Hughton, watched Kemo in training with the squad over the past week and, he also watched him in action in the team’s Under-21 clash against Bolton also.

Darboe is a 19-year-old striker from Gambia who has already had a spell with non-league outfit Peckham United, a semi-pro football team that is located in South East London.

Kemo featured in Norwich City’s defeat to Bolton Wanderers U21s and it is thought that Hughton will make a decision on whether to keep the Gambian following the game against the Trotters’ youngsters.

“We are giving him [Kemo Darboe] an opportunity to come in and have a go,” said Canaries U-21 Development Squad Head Coach Scott Marshall. “It wasn’t an easy game for him to come into but you don’t get many chances so you have to grab them if they come along.”
