Mustapha ‘Toubabo’ Jarju scored his ninth goal of the season in RAEC Mon’s win over Cercle Brugge in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

Toubabo inspired the Walloon-based club to an away victory at the Jan Breydelstadion and his attacking partnership with Cameroonian striker Aloys Bertrand Nong reaped dividends as Mons outclassed bottom side Cercle Bruges 3-1.

Jarju was on target in the 62nd minute before assisting Nong to seal the points with 10 minutes remaining after coming on as a substitute late in the first-half.

The win takes Toubabo’s Mons to 7th in the 16-team-table with 44 points, four behind Lokeren, who occupy the final Champion Play-off place.
