Sanna Nyassi heads back to Montreal |
Gambia international
Sanna Nyassi has returned to his Major League Soccer club, Montreal Impact,
after he did not exactly see the finish that he was hoping for the Scorpions.
Sanna earned his 5th cap for the Scorpions in the team’s 3-0
loss to Ivory Coast, Saturday in Abidjan, playing all 90 minutes in the loss.
“We started the game off well and it was 0-0 at half time,” Sanna
told the club’s official website.
“We had a slow start in the second half and then after a
penalty, the wheels fell off. It was a good experience for us though as we
played a team with a lot of top players playing in the top countries in the
world.”
Despite being at the bottom of the table, Gambia still has a
mathematical chance of qualifying if it can pull out wins in its last three
games against Ivory Coast in Gambia, Morocco on the road and then Tanzania back
in The Gambia.
